Sentinel - Regular Fit Sherpa Jacket
Most winter jackets make you choose: actually warm, or something you want to be seen in. The Sentinel is a trucker jacket lined wall to wall with sherpa.
Fabric: A cotton shell over a full polyester sherpa fleece lining. The cotton is woven tight enough to stop wind and take a beating, and it breathes — walk into a warm room and it lets the heat back out. The polyester sherpa is what actually traps the heat: it holds its loft when it gets damp, where wool mats and cotton pile goes flat.
Fit: Regular, mid-length, button front. Cut with room for a hoodie underneath, because the lining takes up space. Fleece lapel collar, button-adjustable cuffs, snap tabs at the hem.
Wash & care
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colours. Fasten the buttons first so the flaps keep their shape.
Tumble dry low or hang dry. High heat melts the tips of the fleece pile and it never comes back.
Skip the fabric softener — it mats sherpa down and kills the loft that makes it warm. Do not bleach. If the fleece looks flat after a wash, a low tumble with no heat fluffs it back up.

How does the Sentinel fit?
Regular fit and true to size on the body — buyers land on their normal size far more often than not. It is cut with room for a hoodie underneath, because the sherpa lining takes up space, so it will feel roomier than an unlined jacket in the same size. That is the point.
One honest warning: the sleeves and body run short for tall men. If you are 6'2" or taller, size up for the extra sleeve length — and above 6'4" it is likely to be short on you whatever size you take. The size chart has exact garment measurements; check the sleeve and length columns against a jacket you already own.
What is it made of, exactly?

The shell is cotton on purpose. Woven tight, cotton stops wind, breathes, softens the more you wear it and survives being thrown in a truck bed — a synthetic shell is lighter but it whistles, shines, traps your own heat against you and rips. The lining is polyester sherpa rather than wool because polyester keeps its loft when it gets damp, and loft is the only thing that actually holds heat. Wool mats. Cotton pile goes flat and stays flat.
How cold can I wear it in?
On its own it is comfortable down to around freezing with a t-shirt, and well below it over a hoodie — which is what the extra room in the cut is for. It is a lined cotton jacket, not an expedition parka: it is built for a winter that you walk through, not one you camp in.
How do I wash it?
Machine wash cold, tumble dry low or hang dry. No fabric softener — it mats the fleece and flattens the loft that keeps you warm. Button it up before it goes in so the pocket flaps keep their shape.
